It stresses the advocate’s dedication to amplifying the voices of the homeless community, ensuring that their perspectives and needs are heard and acknowledged. Advocates support this basic concept by creating partnerships with homeless people, allowing them to actively engage in decisions about their housing, healthcare, and overall well-being. They work relentlessly to remove systemic barriers and injustices that perpetuate homelessness, aiming to build a society in which every individual can thrive with dignity and liberty.

At The Homelessness Advocate Certification Boards, we are unwavering in our dedication to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) in all aspects of our homelessness advocacy work. We understand that homelessness disproportionately impacts vulnerable and underserved populations, and we are committed to resolving the systemic injustices and inequality that perpetuate homelessness.

We are committed to supporting fairness and equity in our advocacy activities, ensuring that every person experiencing homelessness has access to the services and support they require to thrive. We advocate for policies and practices that address the core causes of homelessness while promoting social justice for all.
Equity
We understand that attaining equality necessitates recognizing and correcting systematic injustices. We are committed to providing equal opportunities and assistance to persons experiencing homelessness, with a focus on the most marginalized and vulnerable members of our communities.
Diversity
Homelessness advocates often provide case management services, assisting individuals in developing and implementing plans to secure stable housing, employment, and access to necessary support services. They may also offer counseling, life skills training, and assistance with budgeting and financial management.
Inclusion
We are dedicated to fostering inclusive environments in which all people experiencing homelessness feel appreciated, respected, and empowered. We actively seek out and amplify the voices and contributions of those who have gone through homelessness, ensuring that they are important to decision-making and advocacy efforts.
